The day Rita arrived

Well ...the weather is a tad "funny" here today but still hot, sunny, and lots
of weird whispy cirrus clouds. It's slightly strange weather but if you didn't
know hurricane Rita was east of here you'd think nothing of it.

I have now learned how to post audio podcasts.... here's my first one. Just a
test really....it features out family outing to Serrano's Mexican food restaurant.
Click on the link below and turn up your speakers:

That's it for now.

The threating skies over Buda (Austin), Texas at
6:40pm Friday night......

Rita ...ho ....hum

Well...this morning here in Buda (Austin), Texas the weather forecast
predicts a 20% chance of rain today. The Austin City Limits music festival will
not be cancelled. Less than 240 miles away in Galveston they are hunkering
down for Rita's arrival late Friday.

Funny Podcast Guy

So I accidently ran across this podcaster named Norm Augustinus.
The guy is hilarious! He podcasts from his clothes closet with dry humor.
You gotta check out Norm's podcast story called "Dolphins".
His main web page is: http://normaugustinus.com Rated PG13 *not* G.

One of my nicer shots from Key West.....

Ships like this cruise the Key West harbor each night at sunset. I don't live here but I like to visit annually.

Cat Number ONE of five....Sailor Moon

Here's "Da Moon"...she's the milkboss around the house...makes us get up and go to the store to get milk when we're out.

Key West....down south

I'm a southern type of dude. Here I am being about as southern as I can get and still be in the USA. By the way....that's the NSA's eavesdropping post directely behind me. Fences to the water and an armed guard keep the tourists and locals out. The site has broadband antennas in a fixed configuration aimed directly at Cuba. Duh...reckon if Fidel knows about it?

Calling in via cellphone for the 1st time

On the air

Well....here's my first blog entry. I'm still figuring this stuff out.
I hope to have podcasts on here....we'll see if that works out.

Three Rita evacuees from Houston are staying with us tonight.
I think Houston will be spared. We'll see.

More later....
